THE STATE OF TEXAS
TO: Elmo Alexander, Defend-
ant, Greeting:
You are hereby commanded to
appear before the Honorable Dis-
trict Court of Bosque County at
the Court House thereof, in Me-
ridian, Texas, at or before 10
o'clock A. M. of the first Monday
next after the expiration of forty-
two days from the date of the
issuance of this citation, same be-
ing the 29th day of July, A. D.
1946, then and there to answer
Plaintiff's Petition filed in said
Court, on the 7th day of June,
A, D. 1946, in this cause, number-
ed 9218 on the docket of said
court and styled Katherine Tutt
Jenkins and husband, Charles
Emmett Jenkins, and Julia E.
Tutt are Plaintiffs, vs. Elmo Alex-
ander, is Defendant.
A brief statement of the nature
of this suit is as follows, to-wit:
Suit to remove cloud on title of
plaintiffs to the following land,
to-wit: Part of Block N6. 46 in
the town of Meridian, Bosque
County, Texas, as per Lynch's
Map, Beginning at the SW corner
of lot sold by J. M. Hall to J. W.
Bost for NW corner this; Thence
N 60 E with S line of the Bost
lot, 113 feet to NW corner of Lot
sold by O. L. Rorie to J. D. Rog-
ers; Thence S 30 E with west line
of Rogers Lot 120 feet to his
SW corner for SE corner of this:
Thence S 60 W with N line of
Street 113 feet to SW corner
this; Thence N 30 W with east
line of Main street 120 feet to
place of beginning.
That said property was bought
with the separate funds of the
plaintiffs, and while they are in
possession and owners of the title,
defendant is asserting some kind
of claim to an interest in said
land, the exact nature of which
is unknown to plaintiffs, which is
a cloud upon their title and hin-
ders sale and they are entitled to
decree removing such cloud from
plaintiffs' title; in the alternative
plaintiffs pray that should it ap-
pear that defendant has any com-
munity interest in said property,
that in such alternative that such
interest be partitioned and award-
ed to plaintiff, Katherine Tutt
Jenkins, divorcee of defendant
and to whom has been awarded
the custody of their minor child,
as is more fully shown by Plain-
tiff's Petition on file in this suit.
The officer executing this pro-
cess shall promptly execute the
same according to law, and make
due return as the law directs.
Issued and given under my hand
and the Seal of said Court, at
office in Meridian, Texas, this the
7th day of June, A. D. 1946.
Attest: MAGGIE B. LITTLE,
(SEAL) Clerk, District Court,
Bosque County Texas.

Churches staging their annual
summer revivals at tabernacle and
on top of this business as per
usual and our grocery stores still
trying to starve each other to

fast and plentiful that it is impos-

Sell eggs and Cream often, as
weather is getting hot.
We think Friday is the official
start of summer and next week
will see the longest day of the
year. Sell or can your roosters
or cockerels if you have not all
ready done so.
Cream has taken Its first rise
since the OPA has advanced price
and there is a chance that Poultry
and eggs will be released from
ceilings on June the 30th.
Wonder if President Truman is
not trying to change the name of
the democratic party to the labor
party from the handling of eye
brow Lewis and the veto of the
Case bill could be.

please help us out during the next
60 days by not wasting Ice, we
are prepared to take care of your

job, and really is a job to do so
and remember Ice is one thing
that is the same price as it has
been for the past several years
and it's a toughy to handle with
increased overhead at these ceil-

The little old country town is
fast turning- into a big little coun-
