TO: Elmo Alexander, Defend-
ant, Greeting:
You are hereby commanded to
appear before the Honorable Dis-
trict Court of Bosque County at
the Court House thereof, in Me-
ridian, Texas, at or before 10
o'clock A. M. of the first Monday
next after the expiration of forty-
two days from the date of the
issuance of this citation, same be-
ing- the 29th day of July, A. D.
1946, then and there to answer
Plaintiff's Petition filed in said
Court, on the 7th day of June,
A. D. 1946, in this cause, number-
ed 9218 on the docket of said
court and styled Katherine Tutt
Jenkins and husband, Charles
Emmett Jenkins, and Julia E.
Tutt are Plaintiffs, vs. Elmo Alex-
ander, is Defendant.
A brief statement of the nature
of this suit is as follows, to-wit:
Suit to remove cloud on title of
plaintiffs to the following land,
to-wit: Part of Block No. 46 in
the town of Meridian, Bosque
County, Texas, as per Lynch's
Map, Beginning at the SW corner
of lot sold by J. M. Hall to J. W.
Bost for NW corner this; Thence
N 60 E with S line of the Bost
lot, 113 feet to NW corner of Lot
sold by O. L. Rorie to J. D. Rog-
ers; Thence S 30 E with west line
of Rogers Lot 120 feet to his
SW corner for SE corner of this;
Thence S 60 W with N line of
Street 113 feet to SW corner
this; Thence N 30 W with east
line of Main street 120 feet to
place of beginning.
That said property was bought
with the separate funds of the
plaintiffs, and while they are in
possession and owners of the title,
defendant is asserting some kind
of claim to an interest in said
land, the exact nature of which
is unknown to plaintiffs, which is
a cloud upon their title and hin-
ders sale and they are entitled to
decree removing such cloud from
plaintiffs' title; in the alternative
plaintiffs pray that should it ap-
pear that defendant has any com-
munity interest in said property,
that in such alternative that such
interest be partitioned and award-
ed to plaintiff, Katherine Tutt
Jenkins, divorcee of defendant
and to whom has been awarded
the custody of their minor child,
as is more fully shown by Plain
tiff's Petition on file in this suit.
The officer executing this pro-
cess shall promptly execute the
same according to law, and make
due return as the law directs.
Issued and given under my hand
and the Seal of said Court, at
office in Meridian, Texas, this the
7th day of June, A. D. 1946.

First load of south Texas Water
melons in and they are delicious,
priced less than last year; be sure
and try one.
Fishing wasn't so hot but had a
swell time at camp.
Egg- receipts falling off- fast,
quality still running mighty bad,
no fault of the hen, just bad
workmanship on most of the poul-
try raisers there is very little ex-
cuse for having 60% dirty eggs
like they are running and have
been for months, this should not
run over 3 to 5%.
Politics getting a little warmer
but no excitement yet.
Poultry in demand and con-
sumption of eggs best in years,
this account of meat shortage in
larger centers.
Farmers doing a swell job of
trying to catch up, another ten
days will almost do it.
Meridian's New locker plant
started and Jack Kirby's ware-
house at long last getting to the
roofing stage.
Meridian's streets had a work-
ing over that sure helped them
last week—^ome of them.
Cream needed badly and shorter
than ever, sell often as hot weath-
er is here.
Our ice sales are finally pick-
ing up but away below last year
yet, however there will be an ice
shortage in most sections before
the year is out, we think we will
be able to take care of our cus-
tomers through the year.
Be sure and sell your surplus
produce often this summer, every
time you come to town is a
mighty good rule.
If you see it in our merchants'
ads it's so.

trespassing is strictly prohibited

refrigerator
Even though factory production is running
about even with 1941 output, there are not
enough gas refrigerators to satisfy the big
demand all at once. This is why people who
are placing orders now may have to wait
for months. So it isn't too early to think of
the most desirable Christmas gift for wife.
Its silent operation without troublesome mov-
ing parts is causing many to say, "My next
will be a Serve! gas refrigerator. It's worth
waiting for."
