from TCU to work on his Ph. D. de-
gree at the University of Minne-
sota.
For the past year Mr. Van Laning-
ham has filled the post in the ab-
sence of Miss Amy Jo Long who
has been working fin her M. S. de-
gree at the University of Texas.

sity School of Journalism, Mr. Van
Laningham has been assistant to
the dean of the University of Mis-
souri School of Journalism, head of
the journalism department at the
Jacksonville Junior College, Jack-
sonville, Florida and a Public In-
formation Officer in the U. S.
Army for five years.
When asked of his past year here
at TWC Mr. Van Laningham said
"I have made many new friends.
I have enjoyed working with the
students, faculty and administra-
tion of TWC and I appreciate
very much the cooperation given
