You and Me
Do you ever stop and think of
<>• ' you
Of all the things you say and do.
And wonder as you air your
views
•lust what you gained — or did
you lose?
And have you craved another's
eyes
To see if you are telling lies?
We should be glad our eyes and
mind
Are ours alone for they are
kind
1 fear with other eyes to see
1 would not be so fond of me!

Quietness reigns in the halls
of T\V and you sit waiting pa-
tiently for the hell to ring. You
wish something would happen
to break the monotony. . . And
then, sounds of an apparent
earthquake roar down from
above and Miss Norwood ex-
claims "Oh, mercy me, some-
thing dreadful has happened in
the library." Y011 push hack
your chair and take the library
steps in threes.
Amid the (lying dust you he-
hold the remains of a wall of
bookcases anl piles of hooks on
the floor. People talk in whis-
pers, wondering what made it
fall. You he.ar "I wonder what
made it fall just at this exact
minute on this particular day."
But once again there is quiet,
hut there is a slight change in
the air—dust, dust, and all the
Dean says is "Did somebody
burn something?" Dust, dust,
everywhere and oh, this hay-
fever!

"Ari apple a day keeps the doctor
away." the old sage has said. Well,
if just one apple will knock the old
boy oui of but mess,, he shouldn't
tarry long around the TW campus
as 1,1,6(10 of the fruit are served in
the dining hall .every year.
And, speaking of figures ' the
kind you write down on pjiper, etc.)
did you know that a meal isn't
served unless 100 biscuits are
brownm;; in the ovens and 14
pounds of butter are on the tables.
if it's Green Bean Day. a bushel
won't nearly till everyone. And the
amount of our old friends, the
dried beans, n< . i ;eal will
tip the s^ , i-t 12 pounds.
The g -eery list for last week,
for e:,;i#^le, included 36 pounds of
bacon, 80 pounds of pork chops, 50
pounds of chicken and SS pounds of
steak. And very few scraps were
to be found.
Those iS pies and 20 gallons of
ice cream eaten every week art-
washed down with 14 pounds of
coffee and 98 gallons of milk.
