Funeral aervice* for O, B Peek
were held at the Methodist church
in Goree on Tuesday afternoon,
June 18th. at 4:30 o'clock. Ser-
vices were conducted by Rev. F T

Mr. Peek whose tragic death is
described elsewhere in The Banner,
was born Aug. 15 189-'}, in Putnam
County, Tenn He came with the
family to Knox County In IW<2,
and had lived In the Goree com-
munity most of the tlrn'' since In
1013 Mr Peek was married to Miss
Catherine Rawlin*, and to this
union were born five sons and five
daughters, Those surviving are: G
B Jr of Nebraska. Mllford Peek
of Kress, Texas; Jess R of Louis-
ville. Ky : Johnnie, of the U. S
Marines, Frederick of Lubbock.
Mrs F A Jernigan of Llttlefleld,
and Biliie Jo and Geneva Peek of
Lubbock
Two or three year* ago Mr and
Mrs Peek were divorced, and ort
May 11 WW. Mr Peek was mar-
ried to Mrs Ruby Sims iff Sey-
mour. Besides hi# children by hi*
first marriage, the deceased Is sur-
vived by hi# father and by four
brother# and four sisters, as fol-
lows Lonnie Peek of Florence,
Colo, Elijah Peek of Brown/teld,
Roy Peak of Amariilo. Beecher
Peek of Littlefield. Mrs J IJ, Bak
er of Littlefield. Mrs. O L Conger
of Wichita Falls, Mrs. Dermis Alf-
red of Lubbock and Mrs Jess Rol-
lins
A large number of other rela-
tives and a host of friends mourn
the untimely passing of this good
citizen
