five branched candelabras form-
ing an arch with a sunburst ar-
rangement of white gladioli and
white mums beneath it, decorat-
ing the altar of First Baptist
Church when Miss Celesta Ann
Golden became the bride of Dan-
iel Irwin Vaughan of Dallas. Huck-
leberry trees stood on .either side
and voltive candles in each win-
dow of the sanctuary and along
the chancel rail burned amid
emerald foliage. Gladioli and fern
tied with white satin bows mark-
ed family pews.

The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Golden,
Route 3, Seminole. Parents of the
bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Sam
I. Vaughan of Dallas.
Mrs. Con Hood, organist, play-
ed pre-nuptial selections and ac-
companied H. T. Wright of Mc-
Kinney. as he sang "My Own True
Love" and "At Dawning." Mrs.
Cecil Douglas. Seminole, sang
"The Lord's Prayer."
Given in marriage by her fath-
er, the bride chose a gown of
white silk peau de soie The
moulded basque bodice appliqued
with imported re-embroidered
Alencoh lace traced with tiny
seed pearls was fashioned with a
high scoop neckline edged with a
narrow band of satin. The elbow-
length sleeves were complement-
ed by short white kid gloves. The
waistline was marked by a cum-
merbund of satin folds. Tiny self-
covered buttons fastened'the back
and termintaed with a small
Shaped bow.
The controlled bell-shaped skirt
of side and back pleated fullness
enhanced by garland appliques of
the jewelled Alencon lace swept
into a wide chapel train. A caplet
of silk pearl-trimmed petals held
her tiered veil of silk illusion. She
carried a white Cattaleya orchid
showered with stephanotis and
satin ribbon tied in love knots a-
top a white Bible.

ington,' Indiana, " was matron of
honor. Mrs. Richard Baker, sister
of the bridegroom of Dallas, was
bridesmatron. and Miss"' Louise
Mclntire of San Angelo. was
bridesmaid. Junior bridesmaids
were Miss Connie Golden, sister
of the bride, and Miss Jeannette
Vaughan, sister of the bride-
groom.
Mr. Vaughan was.his son's best
»man. Groomsmen were Curtis
Beard of Brownfield and Richard
Baker, brother-in-law of the bride-
groom from Dallas.
Ushers were Ron Stanley of
Seminole and Edwin Stanley of
Hattiesburg. Mississippi; both un-
cles of the bride. Also Jon Mar-
tin, Tatum, New Mexico, and
Maurice Cook, Abilene.
Candlelighters were Edwin
James Stanley, Jr.. and Phil Stan-
ley, cousins of the bride from
Hattiesburg.
Feminine attendants wore form-
al dresses of gold colored silk lin-
en. The moulded basque bodices
were fashioned with scoop neck-
ines and elbow-length sleeves edg-
ed with Swiss lace. The waist was
marked by a fold of silk edged

For a honeymoon in Nassau the
bride chose a two-piece wool knit
suit in wild strawberry with con-
trasting accessories
The bride is a graduate of Sem-
inole High School where she was
a member of FHA; FTA. National
Honor Society, "S" Club. Tennis
team.. Who's Who, War Whoop and
annual staff, and student council.
She graduated magna cum laude
from Hardin-Simmons University,
Abilene. Where she was president
of Beta Gamma Epsiion. and
member of Alpha Chi and "Pi
Gamma Mu honor fraternities:
She was recipient of the Anderson,
Award for outstanding senior
women. She was listed in Who's
Who in American Colleges and
Universities and a member of
Cowgirls. House of Representaiv-
es and women's Student Govern-
ing Board.
VaUghan, a graduate of Woodrow
Wilson High School in Dallas, was
also graduated from Hardin-Sim-
mons University where he was a

The newlyweds will be at home
in Irvin after September 1. The
bride will teach in the Arlington
Public Schools where she has
taught for'the past two years. Her
husband is employed by South-
west Wheel and Manufacturing
