Basketball Season Causes Physicals:
Not Much News-Teo Much Studying!
By PAT & CO.
Did Robert really write that new
song "Peggy Sue"? Wouldn't be
at all surprised if he did. And
probably that's Ted's disguised
voice singing it.
What happened to Kenneth and
Berney?
Guess all those posters, etc. did
their work Since we beat Sweeny
44 to 0, a very good score, much
better than, say, 7 to 6. That was
a lovely way to end the season and
provide a happy crowd for the
Homecoming Dance. The Seniors
worked real hard to make the even-
ing a success and Donnie Faye
doesn't know how much money they
made.
Jon Claybourn is not the only
one who didn't make 100 on his
physics test—is he people? In fact,
there aren't many people who made
100 on any test.
Jerry Dawson may surprise
every body and make the A honor
roll this 6 weeks. Are you surpris-
ed, Patsy?
The girls' first basketball game,
here, Tuesday, with Bloomington
caused a rush to the doctor's of-
fice for physicals and an O. K. to
play. Pam got her knee baked for
20 minutes.
Youth Club News: Meeting this
Saturday at the Youth Club build-
ing, 8 to 11. There'll be a short
business meeting starting at 8:30.
Everybody be there.
How was that tall boy in the
Dairy Kream the other day with
that weird hat on?
Id it true that the basketball
boys have to be in at 7 o'clock
every night? Oh—they get one
night out every week ?
What's going on over at junior
h,'gh? Strange as it may seem,
we hardly ever hear anything about
you people over there. Do some-
thing and tell us about it and have
your names in the news.
Jean and Becky seem to have
joined a partnership—one partner
with a driver's license, one with a
black car.
Not much news this week due to
overtaxed brains from studying"
for 6 weeks' tests and couldn't go
any place cause we were all study-
ing and—well, you all know how
it is. Maybe more next week.
ALAPHA CLUB
The Alapha Club met Monday
evening, November 18, at the First
Presbyterian Church Educational
building with 21 members answer-
ing roll call by naming the presi-
dents of the United States.
The meeting opened with the
reading of the Club Collect. Two of
the outstanding documents of our
American Heritage were presented
as our program. Mary Jo Jones re-
minded us of the wonderful prin-
ciples of Lincoln's Gettysburg Ad-
dress and Dolly Hamlin told of the
similarity between conditions to-
day and those mentioned in Wash-
ington's Farewell Address.—Re-
porter.
