On May IB the Dallas trade
trippers will arrive in the dty
of Albany at 4 p. m , and will
spend 30 minutes in our dty.
They have their own special
train of pullman sleepers. Let's
turn out and give the trade
trippers an old fashioned west
Texas welcome. We want to
give a program worth while,
why not have the entire public
school at the station to give
them a rousing welcome? Rah,
rah. Dallas trade trippers, the
town is yours Then as we have
no band, let's borrow the black-
smiths' anvils and fire some
cannons, put them r>n notice

these great big business men
will cary the picture away in
their minds, and every time
they think of Albany in the
years to come, they will have
pleasant recollections, and K
someone comes looking for a
new location, why those big
merchants, railroad folks, man-
ufacturers. capitalists and bank-
ers will give us a good recom-
mendation Come on old Albany
and let's give them the gland
hand.
Frank Reeves, our commer-
cial secretary, is now in eorree-
pondence with Harmon Foun-
dation of New York, and organi-

pub'ic play grounds in Ameri-
ca. There will be 23 public play
grotmds established This or-
ganization proposes to donate
$2,000 to the community that
may be se'ected by the organi-
zation and this fund must be
backed by the community to the
smotmt of at least $3,000 Now
we think this is an excellent
opportunity for our city to
establish a park or play gromd
for our people, especially our
children Now wouldn't it be
nice if we would secure that
Wet* park down there in the
west part of town, it could be
