Texas Tech athletic and admin-
istrative staff will he guests of
an Abilene Chamber of Com-
merce sponsored banquet at
noon that day in the Windsor

Groups Meet
Workshop meetings for the
three gronris of the Alhany
Garden Club were held Jan. 2
at a. m.
Group 1 and Group 2 met at
the home of Mrs. Fred A.
I Douglas with Mrs. Louis F.
Green serving as program lead-
er. Group 3 met at the home
of Mrs. Joe M. Overton with
Mrs. r>. C. McCord as leader.
Study for the workshop was
based on two chapters of the
text book, "Foliage Arrange-
ments" (Cyphers): chap-
ter 4, "Color and Tex-
ture," and chapter 10, "Forcing
Cnusual Beauty." Arrange-
ments, with emphasis on con-
trast, were made depicting the
mechanics and fundamentals of
the subjects discussed.
Present at the Douglas res-
idence were Mmes. C. L. Glad-
den, J. L Douglas, Frank An-
drews, P. T. Sears, Louis
Green, J. II. Reynolds, Minnie
Liles, John Tarlton, and the
hostess, Mrs. Fred Douglas.

worth, R. ('. Daniell, Reaves
Hickman, It. C. McCord, Marry
Key anil Charles K. Jacobs.
