Joint installation of officers for
Eldred J. Andruss Post 7871 and
the V. F. W. Auxiliary were held
Thursday night, April 12, at 8 p.m.
in the V. F. W. Memorial Hall.

RED SPRINGS CLUB
MEETS APRIL 12
The Red Springs H. D. Club met
April 12, at the school house. The
president, Mrs. Mike Parker, called
the house to order at 2:30. We sang
"The More We Get Together" for
the opening exercise.

J cil report. She reported that Home j
Demonstration Week is from April'

Mrs. Howard Powell reported j

worked Friday, April 27.

Members of Methodist J. O. Y.
Attend District Meeting
At a meeting of the Stamford
District Methodist Youth Fellow-
ship held Monday night at 7:30 in
the First Methodist church at Mun-
day, Karen Sullins and Robert
Brown were elected to serve on the
District Council.
Members of the J. O. Y. Sub Dis-
trict presented a skit on summer
camps. Those participating were
Karen Sulins, Robert Brown, Don
GiMrap. Dovce Nix and Betsy Fer-
geson.
The Torch Sub District presented
the devotional entitled "Youth
Work For Christ', after which a
business meeting and plans made
to attend the Youth Rally at con-
ference in Big Springs, May 2fith
and 27th.
A period of songs and fellowship
was held and Rev. Marshall Rhew
of Stamford led the installation
service for the new Council mem-
mers. The meeting adjourned with
the M. Y. F. benediction.
IN APPRECIATION
To our many friends and neigh-
bors for their kindness and their
thoughtfulness when I was in the
hospital, and the many beautiful
cards from my friends and child-
ren. Also to the doctors and nurses,
and especially to my special nurses,
Mrs. Joe Ross, also Mrs. C. T.
Powell, and also Seymour High
and Junior High for the beautiful
flowers.
