don't know how to do a Scotch hop."
"You just do it backward." said Susie.
"Come on. we'll show you how, I'ncle WIr
gily," and she ran down on the sidewalk. The
bunny uncle followed.

off place was a number, from one up to fif

Susie took a little flat stone and tossed it

"That means I've got to lake seven jumps,
or Scotch hops, to get both feet in that square
where the stone is," said the rabbit girl. If
I jump more than seven or less than seven,
or if my two feet don't come just exactly Inside i
the square, 1 lose, and It's your turn, I'ncle 1
Wlggily."
All right, I'll piny the Scotch hop game,"
said the bunny, and then he watched Susie
The little bunny girl gave Just seven hops to
get to the place where she hud tossed the stone

daddle. A Skedaddle is like a Skeezlcks or
Seal la wag. only worse. He has double teeth.
"Stay right where you are, Mr. I/uigears,"
said the Skedaddle. "I'll come and get you."
"And what then?" sadly nsked the b'unnv.

from the Commissioner of Internal Rev-
enue, back taxes must be paid on all the
fares collected by service ar lines from

Springs and this city, since November 1.
It Is only where the sertlee car lines
are operating iu competitfon with steam

Field and San Antonio charge but 25 cents,

Service cars operating as taxis in the city

they do not run on a regular schedule;
"Where traveling salesmen covering their

AND SLIGHTLY INJURED

yesterday afternoon on the International

an uutomoblle driven by a negro collided

was arrested on a charge of carelessly
operating an automobile.
