NEW YORK, Dec. 11.—Tbe Government's
crop estimate of 11,090,000 bales was followed
by a very levire break In the cotton market
here today. Prices had been lower during the
morning, owing to the continued weakness <<f
foreign e.tchang< aud uncertainly as to Just
how long the coal restrictions might remain In
force, and when tbe unexpectedly high crop fig
Urea made their appeannuv, the selling became
g-ncral and excited. Thy general list dosed
cany at a net decline of K to 100 points.
lor the first time 5n the memory of some of
the older cotton men here the Government's
estimate placed the yield ubovn any of the prl
vate estimates, and nearly half a million bales
higher than the average of these figures.
The opening was 25 points loner on December
with later months unchanged to eight pointa
higher, and tha market ao6a weakened under
ar mouth liquidation, stimulated by the circu-
lation of a few December notices, foreign
t-;n!e interests were good buyers on a scale

the Dally Drovers Telegram. Mr. Meyer
bases his predictions on the fact that

cows are lo fine condition, while there
is a great abundance of rough feed on
hand. "The way the cows winter counts
in the calf crop," said Mr. Meyer. If
