NKW YUKK, Dec. 26.—Evidence was
given at today's executive session of the
legislative committee which has been in-
vestigating radicalism in New York State,
that the I'nlon of Russian Workers, the
organisation to which a large proportion
of the radicals recently deported on the
transport Huford belonged, exceeds the
soviet government of Russia in its an
tagonistn to all forms of authority.
George J Siarr, an Investigator of the
committee, testified that at oue of the
meetings of the organization a resolution
was adopted condemning the Lenin
Trotsky variety of government us being as
reactionary as any other form.
The committee tonight Issued a state-
ment preliminary to the final report, whi< h
will be presented to the Legislature at ils
forthcoming session.
"In not only the large but ulso In the
small centers of population upstate," the
statement said, "there are found men and
women engaged in the radical revolution-
ary movement. Evidence also discloses the
fact that literature of an extremely radical
nature is being veff generally and very
openly circulated throughout the entire
State, principally by organizations located
in New York City."
Prof Goldstein, who is studying the
condition of railroads In the I'nited Slate.-,
and Canada, said that the development of
railroads in Russia would be the most Itu
portant question as soon as a new liberal
government is formed.
"When conditions are restored to nor-
mal." Dr. Goldstein said, "we hone that
many Americans and Canadians will couie
to Russia. They will be able to secure
Important positions in all industries and
trades and will have the opportunity of
introducing the principles of American de-
mocracy in Russian lire."

The trying days of yearly inventory are nearly here, when it will be favor-

our "credit ledger" to list only complete lines.
This fact, briefly, contains the principal reasons for our decision to deci-

The shoes are, in every instance, styles which enjoyed widest favor, and on
