Especially at this time of year T receive
many anxious inquiries about getting rid
of pimples. Some have them on the back,
some on the forehead, cheeks, shoulders.
Some years ago I was attacked with the*e
disagreeable blemishes and worked out my
own salvation. This formula acted like a
charm.
I dissolved twelve ounces of granulated
sugar iu one-half pint of water, added one
ounce of sarsene. and mixed the whole to-
gether thoroughly, then added more water
to make a pint. Sarsene is a liquid which
von can get at the drugstore by the ounce
(Jet It in the original package. I took otio
or two tenspoonfuls of this mixture three
or four times a dhy with a little water.
Ir> a few weeks all these eruptions had
disappeared, and I have uot been troubled
since. II Is a remarkable formula indeed,
and it is stife.

ORAfE S You will never get rid of
blackheads by using a blood tonic. Black-
heads are purely local and you need a
local treatment. I have tried various
things for this stubborn beauty-destroyer,
but niy following formula Is the only one
which has proved successful, and that In
a startling way:
First wash the face with hot. water and
soep. Then sprinkle some neroxin gener-
ously upon a sponge made wet with hot
water. Then rub well for a few minutes
on the parts of the skin which are ,if-
fected with blackheads. This done, bath®
the face with warm water, and dry. You
should be able to secure the neroxin at
any druggist's for fifty cents.
♦ ♦ ♦
VICTORIA F A few minutes a day
with the following formula will make
those deep wrinkles und those "thousand
little cob-webby linos" you speak of dis-
appear iu marvelous fashion:
Pour one half pint of very hot water,
not boiling, in ii large bowl'. Place thU
bowl in a pan of water on a slow fire.
In a few minutes add two ounces of eptol
and continue stirring until all Is dis-
solved. At first it will look like jelly,
then it will start to cream. When it does
this, remove it from the fire, add slowly
two tablespoon fuls of glycerine and stir
constantly until cold. Then keep It, tn
an afy'-tlght jar.
You should be able to gel eptol at any
uood drugstore and It should not cost
you more than fifty cents.
Apply this cream every morning with
the tips of the fingers. Plaster your face
very liberally all over with It. Take up
the flesh lu your fingers and pinch It.
squeeze it. roll it. I»o this for a few
minutes, until the cream disappears. Then
apply your complexion powder.
