At lh« la*t meeting of Post T>, Trav-
elers' Protective Association, the follow-
ing resolution relative to the Sun Antonio
tic Austin Interurban Railway was intro-
duced by John C. Marshall and unani-
mously adopted:
"Realising the great need of increased
transportation facilities throughout the
Houthwest, we note with pleasure the
work being done by our fellow citizens In
promoting an interurban railway between
this city and Austin. The names of those
connected with the enterprise is suffi-
cient guarantee of its success.
"Interurban railways have Invariably
Added to the wealth of the country as
well as to the convenience of the people,
nnd they are of untold benefit to traveling
salesmen.
"Therefore, he It Resolved, That Post t>,
In regular sesHlon assembled, hi irtllv en-
liof scH the undertaking and we will do all
In our power to bring about Its consum-
mation an quickly as possible.''

tion, President Brown of the Ban Antonio
& Austin Interurban Hallway replied ac
follows:
"Mr. Haclin, Secretary Post D, Trav-
elers' Protective Association: It Is with
pleasure that I acknowledge receipt of
your communication. Interurbans wher-
ever built have done more to develop the
country which they serve than any other
system of transportation. They mean
rapid, frequent, comfortable and cheap
means of travel. If this line is built, as
we believe it will be, other interurban
lines will rapidly follow. On behalf of
the projectors of the San Antonio Ac
Austin Interurban Railway I desire again
to thank Post I) for tholr kind expres-
sions."
