Pets of the Week
PENNY is a three-year-old female Boxer mix who is very playful and
loves kids. She was housetrained in her previous home. Penny was returned
to the SPCA of Texas on May 23 because her owners were moving and
couldn't take her along. She is anxious to be part of a family again, so won't
you come meet her today? Penny is also in the basic training program where
she is learning basic commands with positive reinforcement training. Come

Penny and Alex are waiting to meet you at the SPCA of Texas'
Dealey Animal Care Center in Dallas at 362 South Industrial
Blvd near downtown. Hours are noon to 6 p.m. seven days a
week. Regular adoption fees are $185-$285 for puppies 0-6
months, $95-$ 195 for adult dogs 6 months or older, $75 for
senior dogs 7 years or older, $50 for VIP dogs, $125 for cats,
$95 for kittens, $75 for senior cats 7 years and older and $50
for VIP cats. Fee includes spay/neuter surgery, all age-
appropriate shots, a heartworm test for dogs six months and
older, a feline leukemia test for cats four months and older, a
microchip and a free leash or cat carrier.

which to sharpen her claws. Alex is litter box
trained and has lived with kids and cats. She
came to the SPCA of Texas on July I because
her previous owners did not have enough
