An unusual articla from the K ichester,
N. Y., Democrat, a:td Chronicle, Was pub-
lished in this paper recently and has been
the subject of much conversation batb in
professional circles and ou the streets.
Apparently it caused more commotion in
Rochester, as the following from theuama
paper shows:
Dr^ J. & Henion,' who is well kuown
not only in Rochester, but nearly in every
part of America, sent and extended arti-
cle to this pape/, a few days since which
was duly published, detailing his remark'
aide experience and rescue from what
seemed to be certain death. It would be im-
possible to enumerate the persdnal enquir-
ies which have been made at our office as
to the validity of the article, but tliev Lave
been so numerous, that, further investiga-
tion of the subject wa3 deemed an editor-
ial necessity.
With this end in view a reprasertativft
of this paper called on Dr. Henion, at his
residence on St. Paul street, when the fol-
io wing interview occurred: "Thatarticle
ol yours, Doctor, has created quite a whirl-
wind. Are the statements about the terri-
ble condition you were in, and the way you J —^iis color and command Doth lett him,
were rescued such as you can sustain?". ( and in a trembling voice iie said: 'Gentle*
