Student Activity Tickets
Student activity tickets will be issued only to those graduate
students taking at least nine hours for credit. Holders of passes and
students who hold activity tickets will be admitted only to regularly
scheduled games of the season. Pre-season and post season games,
games during the Christmas holidays, and other extra games are not
included in the student activity ticket or passes. The activity tickets
are good for admission to intercollegiate athletic events, and to activities
sponsored by the Student Association, and the latter makes a
small charge each semester to provide funds for their operations.
Special Board Requirements
Students who have any concessions (scholarships or work) of any
amount granted by the college are expected to take their meals either
in the grill or in the cafeteria. (Exceptions are made for those whose
homes are in Abilene, or who are light housekeeping.) Any other exceptions
should be approved by the scholarship committee.
Payment for work is made by credit to the student's account until
the semester bill is paid in full. No cash can be drawn for work
until all accounts, notes, and loans are paid.
Student Aid
Any applicant desiring to apply for a loan or scholarship must
complete and file an application not later than March 1 for summer
and fall registration or November 15 for Spring registration. Application
forms for all scholarships and loans may be secured upon request
from the graduate office.
Blue Key Scholarships. The "A" Club chapter of Blue Key National
Honor Fraternity offers two scholarships of $250.00 each to worthy
graduate students. To be eligible a student must be taking at least
nine hours in a graduate program and must have sustained an average
of 3.0 in all work completed to date, including undergraduate
work. The scholarships are open to students in all areas of the Graduate
School, and beneficiaries are selected by the Scholarship Committee
and Blue Key. The scholarships are credited to the account of
the student over a two semester period.
Leonard Burford Memorial Scholarships. This scholarship was established
in memory of Dr. Leonard Burford who for many years was
head of the Department of Music at Abilene Christian College. During
