356. The Mission and Expansion of the Church in the New Testament.
A detailed investigation of some sections of the New Testament is
undertaken for their witness to the missionary character of the first
century church. Special emphasis is given to the methods of Paul, to
the conditions that accompanied the geographical and numerical expansion
of the church, and to the relationship of the church to her
historical and cultural contexts.
358. The Synoptic Gospels. Introduction to Matthew, Mark, and Luke.
Study of the Synoptic Problem. Exegesis of selected passages.
360. The Book of Romans. An intensive exegesis of the book of Romans,
emphasizing the doctrinal aspects of Christianity as presented by
Paul.
361. The Corinthian Letters. A study of I and II Corinthians, observing
the workings of Christianity in a pagan center such as Corinth.
363. The Pastoral Epistles. A detailed study of I and II Timothy, and Titus.
365. The General Epistles. This course covers the epistles of James, Peter,
John, and Jude.
366. The Book of Revelation. This course includes a study of the fortunes
of the church as set forth in the Revelation. Emphasis is given to the
continual struggle which goes on between the forces of righteousness
and the forces of evil, the final victory of the Christ and His
church and the glorious reign of God and His saints in the New Jerusalem.367. Bible Geography. A geographical survey of Bible lands in the light
of the Scriptures and scientific research. Special attention is given
to Palestinian geography. Films, color slides, and filmstrips are used
to illustrate the course.
368. The Bible and Archaeology. The archaeological findings of Palestine
and the Ancient Near East, which have been recently discovered and
interpreted, are studied particularly from the value of their testimony
to the integrity of the Bible.

20G3. Advanced Introduction to the New Testament. General and special
introduction to the books of the New Testament, with special attention
to critical problems.

of Greek.
