Dodge Brothers
BUSINESS SEDAN
With this car, Dodge Brothers have literally created
a new type of sedan.
They have combined open car ruggedness with closed
car protection and smartness.
They have demonstrated, once for all, that a sedan
can be as practical and almost as inexpensive as an
open touring car.
The body is built of hand-welded steel because steel
is sturdy, and will take a permanent, oven-baked
finish, eliminating forever the cost of repainting.
The seats are upholstered in attractive, genuine
Spanish blue leather, because leather will wash and
wear.
To further enlarge the car's usefulness, the rear seat,
back and side cushions, seat frame and foot rest are
quickly removable, giving sixty-four cubic feet of
flat loading space in the rear compartment. The
manifold uses made possible by this unique feature
are readily imagined.
The top and rear quarters are of non-rumble, fabric
construction, conforming with the present attractive
vogue. From cord tires to curtain cords, the fittings,
inside and out, are distinctive and complete.
In fact, every detail of the car emphasizes its strik-
ing adaptability to business as well as social use.

THE REFEREE
—BY D. M. TOOKE
They Win.
Virgil Forrest and Kussell were the
lucky birds last week. Forrest had it
on the field with his passing in the
game at Midway and Kussell won in
a walk when he missed a perfect pass
from Pangeleisen In the Koekdale
game. Only two more wins boys and
you will cet the grand reward.

Fart of the "Gang" was on hand,
Will Campbell got off at the last min-
ute, but those who stayed at home
missed It all. Hure was a great life,
lots of dust and the heat sure was
hard on tires.
The Giants upset the dope and won
with a supposedly 'has-been' pitching
Friday and duplicated the feat yes-
terday with one of the said 'fore-lorn
hopes' in the box. At the same time
they hammered all the Yankee aces,
kings and on down to the deuces to a
pulp. Sure is easy to figure the Yan-
kees a 7 to 5 shot.
Waite Hoyt, 1521 Giant killer, pub-
lished a series of articles before the
•Knickerbocker family row' started
telling the 'dcah public' why he and
four of the other Yankee pitchers
were the best going and how they
would knock the Giant.i for a row.
This same gentleman will please tell
us now why he failed to hold up his
end of the rope.
Austin fans will get a taste of big
league baseball this afternoon when
the American Legion Warriors, cham-
pions of the city league, meet a team
composed of big league stars who
make their winter quarters in the cap-
ital city. The Legion team will be
composed of practically the same
players that won out In the city
league, the only new face on the ros-
ter being Hoy Moore, southpaw pitch-
er formerly with the Philadelphia
Athletics and now with Ty Cobb's De-
troit Tigers. The leaguers will have
Rip Collins, of the Boston Americans,
on the mound, Frank Gibson, of the
Braves, behind the bat, Durst and He-
vier, of the Browns, on the Infield
and a host of University stars to round
out the rest of the team. This game
ought to be a "grand finale' to the 1S31
season.

pletely routed the Georgetown aggre-
gatlon at Atwtin Friday afternoon and
swamped them under the heavy score
