room. W. A. Fanncey, 55, of the East-
ern Mortgage and Realty company, is
dead (is a result of the fire. He died
at a hospital an hour after the blaze
started, More than a dozen persons
were overcome by smoke.

building and the property loss of the
tenants was estimated at $800,000.
