severe decline, and after the noon hour,
following the marking up of spot quota-

Stocks and Bonds.
New York, April 4 —The movement In
prices on the stock exchange during the
greater •part of today's session was ex-
tremely uncertain*! but the netlre list rone
spiritedly in the final hour In response to
a sweeping demand for rails, especially In-
vestment shares.
Southern I'aclflo was the dominant fea-
ture, Its advance of 414 points being at-
tended by free accumulation of numerous
large individual blocks.
Yet another helpful fiictor as effecting
systems traversing western and southwest-
ern territories, were the estimates of crop
exports which emphasised recent reports
of excellent conditions, including increased
acreage.
Much of the early Irregularity Of market
leaders was traceable to the steel dispute
with Director General Hints' sudden aban-
donment of the Mercantile marine deal,
with tho United Stales government and fur-
ther contradictory news In tho peace con-
ference

in rails, strength prevailing at tho active
finish.
Foreign bonds were easier, but domestic
Issues, including the Liberty group, reflected
the better tone for high class rails. Old
United States bonds wsre unchanged on
call.

than the expansion of actual operations,
but activity broadens with each week's pass-

stantial contributions to the lint of help-
ful factors. While obstacles to the promo-
tion of overseas commerce still exist, export
prospects in some quarters have been ap-
preciably enhanced by ths further relaxa-

new opportunities for the extension of Amer-

The Itrhsng and Sting
of Blazing, Fiery Eczema
Seems Like the Skin Is on Fire. " "
There ia a harrassinff discomfort
caused by Eczema that almost be-
comes a torture. The itching is al-
most unbearable, and the skin seems
cn fire with the burning irritation.
A cure from local applications of
salves and ointments is impossible,
because such treatment can only al-
lay the pain temporarily. The disease
can only be reached by going deep
down to its source.
The source of Eczema la in the
blood, the disease being caused by an
infection which breaks out through
the skin. That is why the most satis-
factory treatment for all so-called
skin diseases is S. S. S., for this rem*
edy so thoroughly cleanses the blood
that no impurities can remain. Get a
bottle to-day at any drugstore, and
you will see results from the right
treatment. Write for expert medical
advice, which you can get without
cost, by addressing Medical Director,
