Union Thanksgiving Servce.
Belton, Nov. 13. — The' annual
Thanksgiving service which was an-
nounced in today's paper will not be
held at the Presbyterian church as
announced, but will be held at the
Christian church Instead.
It hu always been the custom of
the churches of the city to hold their
services together on that day, taking
year In turn for each church to have
the people meet with them, and the
time had been corrfusod' by those who
had planned the service, and they had
the Impression that It was the time for
the Presbyterian church to have the
service, but they were mistaken, and
the congregation of the Christian
church will be the one with whom the
other congregations shall worship on
next Thursday, Thanksgiving day, at
10 o'clock In the morning.

Don't think, because the war is over that there will be
more goods and lower prices right away. Peace will
open the European market for the United States, and
the demand for our merchandise will be so great, that
there will be, perhaps a greater shortage of merchandise,
and likely higher'prices than the present.

LET US BE THANKFUL!
The peace of victory is ours, and the four years horror
of world war has passed like a sinister cloud over-
shadowing the Heavens. Let us take to our hearts the
many lessons taught us in this period of adversity, and
render thanks that on our eyes is opening the vista of a
world-wide brotherhood of man, brought about by the
gallant soldiers who fought under the Star Spangled
Banner of our beloved country.
Letus ta^e on our shoulders the coming burdens of
peace, with a clean mind and cheerful heart, (or the
reward for these services is already ours.
