Chicago, Nov. 15.—Two young and
pretty actresses are lyin , dead today
in the morgue while police search for
clues io their mysterious death, early
yesterday morning in tlrant Park,
within a few hundred feet of the sky-
scrapers lining Michigan bpulevarJ.
The girls died under circumstances
which indicate murder.
A mysterious' telephone ("all noti-
fied police in mid morning yesterday
that the bodies were lying on the lake
front near the Chicago Yachting Club
at th^poot of Jackson boulevard. The
call was traced six blocks from the
lake front. There the elevator opera-
tor said he had taken a stranger to the
l 1th floor, tut the man apparently
had walked down stairs.
At the fool of the outer driveway
alon«the lake the bodies were found,
just ® the mysterious informant had
said.
Hoth girls' hair was matted with
burs. There are lio burs of the kind
in Grant Park. The bodies were bad-
ly bruised and covered with blood.
James Meeks and Kobert McCar-
thy. employes of a theatrical compa-
ny here, identified the bodies as .Miss
Marie Alma Kamey, stock show play»
er and vaudeville actress, and Miss
Lillian Thompson, said to lie the
daughter of John Thompson, chit f en-
gineer of the New York Hippodrome.

apartment on the North Side,
The two women left the apartment
at iJ o'clock Saturday night, and visi-
ted, an Italian grocery a few blocks
