For the past several jears
many of the merchants of Cana
dian wishing to reach ALL of
their friends and customers
with their Christmas and New
Year greetings have dispensed
with the mailing out of greet
ing cards to those customers
whose names came to mind most
readily and have placed both
their Christmas and New Year
greetings and messages to their
friends In the Hemphill County
Nevis
The big advantage of this
method Is that some are not In
advertently overlooked during
the busy days that always pre-
cede the holiday season
Following this custom these
merchants have placed In this
issue of The News their heart
felt good wishes to jou and
yours for a Very Merry Christ
mas You can take It from us
that these merchants have giv
en considerable thought to the
wording of Lheir greetings and
they have spent much time in
the selection of suitable copy
and appropriate engravings
These merchants are your
friends It Is they who work
year In and vear out to make
this a better place in which to
live Their hardearned dollars go
to support the advertising for our
bond drives Their generous do
nations are always counted upon
to put over our civic enter-
prises
Tatronlzc these good friends of

ing In fruit the salesman with
his bargain offer does not
spend one red cent to help you
with jour Ited Cross quotas or
help out our fine school sys-
tem and the many other things
that must be taken care of each
year
Our merchants are our friends
Lets all stick together dur-
ing this coming new year and
see If we dont all benefit
thereby
