amount of flower planting done The
members of the committee were
joined in the enterprise by about fif
teen of the ladies of that district and

\W school. The children are said to
fcave done their work beautifully.
The work yesterday consisted of the
planting of four round beds of flow-
#ft, each eighteen feet in diameter,
and also other beds along the walks.
Many varieties of flowers were plant-
ed. The chairman states that any of
th* ladles who did not have part in
th* work yesterday may go and plant
flowers at the school grounds at any-

At the Bentley Hill school the com-
mittee and the school children have

years the High school has maintained
a base ball team, but this is the first

A Chinning Contest Ti>day.
A contest in chinning the bar will
be held between the Keagan school
I and the Central Grammar school on
the grounds of the Keagan school at
J 3:30 p. m. today. This will be the
third in a series of five athletic con-

tbe schools has proven very interest-
ing and has aroused a good deal of
