cil ot the city of Brenham,
1st. That an election shall be held
in the citv of Brenham, on Saturday, | anteed. Shop under the Bookstore

shall be entitled to vote, unless his
name ahall appear upon the lists of res-
dent taxpeyeis hereinafter mentioned.
3d. That those voting in favor of
the levy and collection of said tax j
shall have written or printed on their
ballots, "For the School 'fax," or some
other equivalent words, and those vot-
ing againt such levy and collection
shall have written or printed on their
ballots, "Against the School Tax," or
some other equivalent words,
4th. That for the purpose of facili
tating the several officers charged with
holding said election and declaring the
result thereof.it is hereby made the duty
of the Assessor and Collector to make
out from the last assessment roll, and
to furnish to the several judges of th«
election, and to the City Council each,
a certified copy of all the qualified vo-
ters residing in, and paving a tax on
property within the limits ot the city.
5th. That Buch election shall be or-
dered, and condacted, and the canvass
of the returns made and declared as
provided for other elections.
6th. That all ordinances, and parts
of ordinances inconsistent herewith,
be and the same are hereby repealed.
and that this ordinance take effect, and
be in force from and after Us passage,
and until repealed by the City Council
of Brenham.

dore Tonn and Julious Tonn, surviving
minor heirs of T. Tonn, deceased; J,
W. Lelb, guardian of said estate, has fil-
ed in the County Court of Washington
