Grande—Semi-weekly Packet
—The owners of the steamer
LAUREL, have determined to run her as a
semi-weekly packet between the above ports,
leaving Matamoros every Monday and
Thursday, at 8 o'clock, A. M., and the Mouth
every Tuesday and Saturday, at 5 o'clock,
P. M. This arrangement is expected to ac-
commodate the citizens of Matamoros, as
well as shippers and .travelers generally.—
Whether profitable or not to th»> proprietors,
no delay whatever, unless by unavoidable
accident, will be permitted to break up her
regular trips, and the public may rely upon
her punctuality.
Passage the same as Government Boats.
Freight at the lowest rates of other private
boat« on the river. For freight er passage

of Rio Grande, for the purpose of transact-
ing a general Commission and Storage
business, is now prepared to receive consign-
ments either for sale or storage He believes
that this point, from its central position ou
the cast bank of the Rio Grande—being
four miles from Camargo and fifteen from
Mier — offers facilities to merchants and
others engaged in the Mexican trade far sur-
passing any other on the river; and his ex-
tensive acquaintance in this valley, he be-
lieves, will enable him to close speedily all
consignments made to hiin, He will devote
his entire attention to the business, and will
endeavor to give general satisfaction, and
solicits business. Charges will be moderate.

Dr. Cullen's celebrated remedv for the
cure of scrofula, or king's evil; Herpes' mer-
cur.al diseases;- Venereal diseases ot all de-
scriptions and impurities of the blood; for the
piles; for diarrhoea and dysentery and fe-
male diseases.
X. B. All the preparations of Dr. Cullen
are entirely devoid of mercury or any mine-
ral prepaiation.
Dr. Appleton's celebrated remedy for deaf-
