Unnatural Son. — On Tuesday
night Jim Elliott, a young colored
man, went to his father's house on
a farm seven miles north of the city
and without any provocation began
to curse and abuse and to beat his
old father. He bit a largo piece of
solid flesh out of cheek and other-
wise maimed and bruised him. He
next assaulted his brother and fired
a pistol at him. The only excuse
that he had to offer for his unnatur-
al conduct was that he was drunk.
The old man came into town yes
terday and filed an information
against his son before Justice Curry
and Constable Boyd went out and
arrested him. He is now in the
county jail.
