The coming term of the district
court will convene March 3rd, and
is, therefore, just a little over two
weeks off. Judge Garrett requests
us to say for the benefit of ail con-
cerned that the grand jury will be
called and empaneled at 9 o'clock, a.
m., on the first day; that the first
two weeks of court will be devoted
to civil business, and that the crimi-
nal docket will be taken up on the
third Monday. As soon as the
grand jury has been empaneled the
civil docket will be called so that ju-
ries may be'demanded bv parties de-
siring them. In all cases in which
juries have been demanded all ques-
tions of law, demurrers and excep-
tions to pleadings will be heard and
disposed of as soon as the call for
juries has been finished. After the
law questions in jury cases have
been disposed of, the cases on the
non-jury docket will be called for
trial in the order in which they
stand on the docket during Monday
and Tuesday of the flrst week. On
Wednesday of the first week the ju-
ry civil docket will kbe taken up for
trial and will be called each succeed-
ing day until all the jury cases are
disposed of, after which the non-jury
docket will be resumed. No case
will be tried by the court while a
jury is in waiting. On Friday of
the first week the appearance docket
will be called, and cases in which an-
swers have been filed will be as
signed to their proper docket for
disposition as other cases. The law
questions in jury cases on the ap
pearance docket will be heard if
practicable on appearance day. The
call of the criminal docket, will be
made on Mbnday, March 17, when
orders will be granted for process,
capital cases will be set and special
venires ordered, after which law
questions, such as motions to quash,
will be heard. The docket will then
bo taken up for the disposition of all
other cases in their order. Excep-
tions to the general disposition of
the b«8;noes of the cotirt, as above
;ndicated, may be made in particular
cases to suit the convenience of par-
ties and counsel, wben it shall ap
pear that the public interests will

Beware of Ointments for Catarrh
that contain Mercury,
as mercury will surely destroy the

range the whole system when en-
tering it through the mncaous sur-
faces. Such articles should never
be used except on prescriptions

damage they will do is ten fold to

Advice unsought is seldom valued.
Go on in your old way—sow 10 penny nails and expect a crop, we
don't believe it will vegetate even though you cover the soil with iron
filings, but put those same filings in a crucible after your patience is
exhausted—mix with brains and you will have nails.
SPRING IS COMING-PUNTING SEASON.
Won't you come around and look at our stock, we have arranged our goods just as a good
farmer would select cultured ground for good seed,—and of course we look for bud and
blossom.
