Tot representative of the oil mill
states tW they have not run up the
price of cotton seed hulls. No hulls
have been on the market, as all of
them have been used as fuel by the
mill. The Banner is glad to make
this statement, as it has ao desire
or intention to misrepresent the oil
mill- It is a great institution for
Brenham, and has saved the farmers
of this county many thousands of
dollars by sustaining the price of
seed.
Stock Show.—There is some talk
awinng the members of the Brenham
Fire department of having a fine
stock show on the second day of
their next Maifest, and offering suit-
able premiums for the best speci-
mens in the different grades of stock
—cattle and horses. This matter is
being considered at the earnest re-
quest of a number of prominent

To begin right; to gather knowledge in every days' history-tc> become
the master and the leader—to avoid misfortune by the experience
of men who have fallen by the wayside, and of those, too, who
every day in life, before your eyes, are struggling against
inexorable fate, under a mistaken, pernicious and
delusive system, that will, ninety-six. times out
of a hundred, swamp the ablest mer-
chant on God's green eaarth.
