more progress with European royal-

Neither Lord Salisbury nor Mr. Bal-

Chamberlain seldom uses it. On the
other hand, the Czar and Czarina are
experts in Its use, the Kaiser is Its
advocate and the King of the Belgians
and the Sultan use It extensively for

A CASE OF IT.
More Like it to Brenham.
The following case ia but one of tbe many
similar occurring daily in Brenham It is
an easy matter to verify its correctness.
Surely you cannot ask for better'proof than
such conclusive evidence.
Wm. Buck, farmer, living six miles out on
Independence Road, Buys: "For sometime
during the winter of 1902 I suffered so with
my back that I could hardly get around to
do my work and everything worried me. I
am not a groat believer in patent medicines
and kept putting off doing anything until I
became alarmed about my condition. I read
ono day about Doan's Kidney Pills and the
first time I went to B.enham I stepped into
Jos, Tristram's drug store and got a box. In
a short time after commencing the treatment
I wa6 relieved of the annoying backache,
and there has not been the slightest symp-
toms of its return since. I have heard
others praising Doan's Kidney Pills,
Among tliem is one of my neighbors, Mr,
Carl Spiering, who says they are the best
medicine he ever used."

Summer comp emt is unusually prevalent
among children this season. A. wall de-
veloped esse in the writer's family was
< ured last week by the timely use of Cham-
berlain's Colic, Cholera and Diarrhoea Rem-
edy—one of the best patent medicines manu-
factured and which is always kept on hai.d
at the home of ye scribe. This is not in-
tended a free pun for the company, who do
not advortise with us, but to benefit little suf-
ferers who may not bo within easy access of
a physician. No farr ily should be without
a bott'e of this medicine in the house, es-
pecially in summer-time.—Lansing, Iowa,

Will Banish the Summer Itlurs ami
Other llintresses Thai Make
Life Miserable and
Unhappy,
'ibis in the season whan we hear
men and women complaining about
thoir unhappy and half-dead condi-
tion. They find 1 hat physical and
mental energy hes deserted them,
and they are sinking deeply in tho
pit of despondency.
The hot summer weather always
produces thousands of miserable
feeling mortals. They lack nerve
force, strength and true vitality.
They cannot rest (lay or night, and
life beoomes a burden.
Tho great recuperator, builder
and strength giver for all weary,
wornout and sutiering people is
Paine'B Celery Compound, now so
universally proscribed by medical
mon. When this great medicine is
used at this si-aaon, languor, de-
spondency, irritability, nervousness,
sleeplessness, headache, dyspepsia,
and digestive troubles are perma-
nently banished, and men and wo-
men go about their duties and work
with a vim, will, and energy that in-
dicate health and physical strength.
»fr. J. H Clark, Newaik, Del,
who was in a critical condition of
health from troubles extremely com-
mon in summer time, writes thus
about his marvelous rescue from
death:
"When 1 was attacked with ner-
vous prostration, 1 went to one of
our local doctor?, I continued to
grow worse, and consulted other
physicians, but with very little ap-
parent good. No tongue can ex-
press or pen describe mj feelings
and Hufl'enng from this terrible dis-
eese. After spending considerable
mouey in the vain hope of being
curod, I w»s led to try Paine's Cel-
ery Compound, and it is this medi-
cine which enabled me to enjoy the
health I now have. Aftor the rtor-
ture I experienced night and day for
years, the change is wonderful."
One of women's latest profes-
sions is that of a feminine resident
of Los Angeles, Cal., who acts

society. She visits doctors sus-

licenses and gets them to pre-

ported ills. Then the doctors
are called into court.

J. A. Rally relates an experience similar
to that which has happened in almost every
neighborhood in the United States and lias
Keen told and re-told by thousands of others
He says: "Last summer I had an attack of
dysentery and purchased a bottle of Cham-

Remedy, which I used according to direc-
tions and with entirely satisfactory results.
The trouble was controlled much quicker
than former attacks whon I used other reme-
