gie King left for McDuflie in eastern
Texas yesterday to see their uncle,
who is reported very sick, and not
cxpected to recover.

In the county court yesterday Si
las Middleton pleaded guilty to a
charge of assault, and was lined $10
and costs. Some probate orders
were made. There are very few
eases on the docket, civil or
nal.

Evidence was taken yesterday in
the case of the state vs. Wheeler,
charged with the robbery of the
blind man some days ago. On ac-
count of the absence of the principal
witness further action was postponed
until his attendance could bo se-
cured.

A suit has been filed in the dis-
trict court by Ellen Robertson
against Louis Robertson for divorce
Plaintiff alleges that she was married
to defendant in Washington county
and that they lived together as hus
band and wife for five years there-
after; when defendant without
cause or provocation left her, and
lias remained away from her ever
since. Defendant's residence is un-
known, and he is cited by publica-
tion.
