for tub legislature.
In announcing myself as a candidate for
re-election to the Legislature from this coun-
ty, I desire to state that I am a Republican.
That a majority or the delegates in the Re-
publican convention held in Brenham on
the 18th of Septomber, were instructed to
voto for my re-nomlnation, but by some
locordeiiifljn on the part of some of the so-
called le-flrrs, they were induced to violate
their instruction and defeat the will of the
people. While I am a Republican, I believe
it the duty of every citizen to vote for honest
men to administer the affairs of the county.
Respectfully, R. J. Moore.
