IF YOU ARE LUCKY YOUNG $12,000,000
HERE IS A CHANCE HEIRESS IS NOT TO
TO GET REAL COIN WAIT FOR AN IDEAL
At the Grand Opera House Fri-
day night, it will be case of "put in
your hand and pull out—money."
It will be real money, too. Per-
fectly good and can be exchanged at
the most exacting bank in the city.
It might also be two dollars that you
grab, although the chances are ten to
one that it will not.
The idea is unique and was creat-
ed and perfected by Manager G. S.
Clarke to attract some of the mon-
ey-lovers not heretofore attending
the shows at his play-house. The
plan is very simple requiring only
a box, ten purses and an equal num-
ber of strings. Also the money to
go with the strings and purses. Here
it Is in detail:
The chance taker walks to the
ticket window and makes a purchase.
The ticket lets the purchaser in tho
show where they reel off an enter-
tainment for which Houston or Dal-
las would charge eight dollars—here
it is only a dime. For the dime a
coupon is also given. This coupon
entitles the couponee to participate
in a general grab for place. The
ones securing the first ten numbers
get a chance at the money In the box.
From the box ten strings peep
forth. To each of these strings is
attached a purse with money. There
is one purse with two dollars in it,
two with one dollar; two more with
four-bits; another pair with a quar-
ter each; and yet two more with a
dime each; the tenth has a nickel,
If you are lucky you may get the $2,
and if you aren't you have the satis-
faction of knowing that you are a
good gambler anyway.
Naco, Ariz.,_April 15.-—After spik
ing his cannon and burning h'is sup-
plies and ammunition, General Pe-
dro Ojeda and 150 survivors of the
Naco garrison crossed to this side
at 11 o'clock Sunday, surrendering
to the United States troops on bor
der patrol here.
The surrender followed an attack
by some 1,500 State troops vi-iich
began at 7 o'clock last night. The
Yaqui Indians took the advance of
the attackers today, and the bar-
racks at Naco became a siaughte:

New York, April 15.—Miss Liiaii
B. Gilbert is heiress to $15,000,000

her some time ago as follows:
"Six feet tall brunette, clean shav-
en, firm jaw. Thick hair curved

head. A Republican, Episcopalian
and a money maker, straight nose,
large and intelligent, but not soul-
ful eyes. Good rider, fond of ath-
letics, fond of animals, holding de-
cided ideas about pigs and poultry.
Must like leniou in his tea and wear
clothes like John Drew. She has not
found her Ideal, but a husuand to
be whose description follows.
Six feet tall, slightly stooped,
reddish hair and mustache, firm jaw,
hair cut short, not a curl in it ears
close to head. A Democrat, Eoisco-
palian and never earned a dollar in
hi* 'ife. Aquiline nose, brown eyes,
not large, but keen and tw,riding
Good rider, ardent hunter, fond of
horses and dogs, absolute.v destitute
of idefts about pigs and poultry.

sued, wedding ceremony Is to take

Howard Renshaw, 25 years old, of
Troy, N. Y., is the lucky man.
It was shortly after she made
known her ideal that she met young
Renshaw, who has nothing but mon-
ey and spare time, at Palm Reach.
Miss Gilbert, when seen today by a
reporter and asked about her ideal
man, said she had forgotten all about
him. She Is well satisfied with Ren-
shaw.
Renshaw Is the son of Richard
Renshaw, a wealthy inventor and
manufacturer of Troy. He is a ne-
phew of Mrs. Lily Ilammersly, who
was the Duchess of Marlborough and
mother of the duke of Marlborough
who married Consuelo Vanderbilt.

Board of Claims Named.
Galveston, Texas, April 15.—Brig-

claims which will handle all claims
for damages made on account of the
