Tankcrsley was preparing to lcavo
tho offico after his day's work. Ho
had just turned out the lights and had
stepped out to the bock of tho build-
ing when two men confronted him
with dawn jcVolvcrs. Bidding him
to turn to' tho building, they foced
him to open the vault and then or-
dered him with hands up, to face the
wall. While one stood guard over
Tankcrsley the other made prepara-
tions to make tho haul. On entering
the vault Uk robbers found that the
safe within was locked and they then
ordered Tankcrsly to open It. On
doing so tho clerk was again froccd
to fnco the wall with hands up. After
of thfc robbors had ransacked
FIVE HURT IN AUTO MISHAP.
Georgetown, Tex., Dec. 17. Five
persons were injured in an automobile
accident near hero Thursday. Tho
Party Included Mr. and MTs. W. J.
Wllinms, Mrs. Will Bunch, nnd hnby
and Grandpa Dunlnp, all Injured per-
sona wero brought to Georgetown nnd
Mr. Williams sent to Austin sanitarium.

Albert Bonds together with Deputy
Sheriffs M. B. Owen and .L F. Van-
noy went to Klllccn to work on the
case. Several clues are said to havo
been obtained, which it Is hoped will
lead to the apprehension of the guilty
parties.

thrift stamps of the amount of $76
and postago stamps in tho amount of

Tho federal authorities have been
notified! of the robbery by the sheriff's
department and a man is being sent
