theory that 84 per cent of the

to Nov. 14, experts here estimate
that a bulletin issued by the cen-
sus bureau today indicates a cot-
ton crop of 1, 1 23,3 10 bales. One
hundred and thirty-eieht Texas
coun ies have nowrcported. They
snow 3,850 active ginneries prior
to Nov. 14, against 3896 last year
and a total of 2,478,561 bales gin-
ned as compared wi'h 1,772,218
last year. J. he increase in the
amount ginned prior to Nov. 14.
in the 681 counties which have
reponea. amounts to 44.16 pr
cent. In the increase has been
about the same in all the cotton
growing counties, the total amount
ginned up to iNov. 14, is approxi
mately 10,822,741 bales.

Mrs. Sanders, an aged lady
living near here, died Sunday,
and was buried in the Laughlin
cemetery.
Mr. M. C. Bryant of Bartlett,
was in our little town Saturday.
Miaa Mao Roark of Rookdale
was visiting friends and relatives
here this week.
Maasra. Ed White and Tom
King returned from St. Louis
Friday where thev have been
visiting the World's Fair,
Mr. J. P. Groos returned Sat-
urday from Rockdale where he
has been visiting the past week.
There was quite a crowd of
young people here Saturday
from Pecan and Donahoe to be
present at the box Bupper several
of whom reported a most delight-
ful time. We extend a cordial
invitation to them to come again.
There will be preaching Sun-
day and Sunday night at the
Baptist, church.
The proceeds of the box supper
will go for the benofit of the
school. The neat little sum of
25 was netted.
Well, Mr. Editor, it this does'nt
find its way to the waste basket
