For one day only, the 2012 Dallas Kids
Expo is THE resource for everything DFW +

planning with "The Ultimate Birthday Party
Experience." This year's focus, "Let's Move
in 2012" aims to get kids and parents
excited about raising a healthier generation
through fun activities, information and
resources.
"Let's Move in 2012"
Childhood obesity is this country is at
epidemic levels as evidenced by recent
studies that say more than 30 percent of
children are overweight. Sharing First Lady
Michelle Obama's initiative to "Move for a
Healthier Generation of Kids," this year's
Dallas Kids Expo focuses on fun and
educational ways to get moms, dads, kids
and even babies moving in the right
direction by introducing easy tips and
sharing local resources that will ensure the
health of your family. From kids learning
dancing moves from dance troups to
jumping in the bounce houses and activities
cenfers at the Expo, expecting moms
stretching their muscles with Pilates for
easier childbirth to getting those muscles
moving even more with Stroller Fit with the
baby, there is no way that that families
won't have a good time movin' and
groovin' to the Dallas Kids Expo beat!
"Oh, Baby! Alley"
From conception, pregnancy, delivery and
beyond, Dallas Kids Expo is giving mamas-
to-be (and the whole family as well) an
opportunity to focus on all-things related to
B-A-B-Y! Geared for maternity moms, "Oh,
Baby! Alley" will have an exclusive entrance
into the event and be pampered by La
Bella Belly Spa & Ultrasound Center. In
addition, specially-geared baby resources
like the Mothers' Milk Bank of North Texas,
Stroller Fit and other baby-centered
products and services will be ready to cater
to moms and give them a chance to ask
questions and more during one of these very
important parts of life.
"The Ultimate Bir thday Party Experience"
Everyone's got a birthday and moms and
dads are known to spend weeks and even
months planning to create the most birthday
possible for their child with the newest and
coolest concepts for their kiddos' one
special day. After endless recommend-
ations, magazine ads and website research,
Dallas Kids Expo has designed a way to
make the planning almost as fun as the
birthday itself with "The Ultimate Birthday
Party Experience!" Designed to give parents
ideas on throwing the best party yet, DFW
resources will actually have birthday party
ideas for you to experience including food
options, activities and even cake. Just a
teaser of our featured birthday party ideas
includes Gattitown Dallas and a Dallas
party tradition, Celebration Station!
The heart of the Dallas Kids Expo is to
give DFW families a fun way to learn about
local family resources. From pregnancy,
toddler years, school-age and throughout
their teenage years, Dallas Kids Expo
provides an array of services, products and
venues that families need throughout their
family's stages.

U.S., so it is no surprise that it is next to
impossible for today's busy families to
research and experience all the great
; and services that DFW has to

Expo is the perfect answer. By offering a
convenient platform of DFW services and
products, Dallas Kids Expo provides parents
a place to shop for the best services at
special deals for their families while
spending quality time with their children.

For Ebony Smith, Founder of the Dallas
Kids Expo, the goal of this event is simple.
"For parents my goal is to have them
coming out of the Expo saying, 'Wow I
didn't know that!' and, 'Whew, that saved
me a ton of time.' For kids, I want them to
leave the Expo smiling and chanting, 'That
was fun! Can we come back next year?"'

Pets of the Week
cxrvxirv "^'s IS Stoney- Because of a family relocation, he is
MUNtI looking for a new home in the middle years of his
life. He is a very good boy, playful, a lovable faithful friend and,
yes, a puppy at heart. Sadly, Stoney has tested positive for
heartworm. Because he is a BIG boy, overweight like many middle
aged folks, his treatment must be slow and gentle - to cure the
disease without harming the dog. He has a foster home but he
would love to have a Guardian Angel who will help pay for special care for a special boy.
This big “puppy” will be seeking a permanent loving home after his treatment, so send
in your adoption application if Stoney might be the one to complete your family.
CASPER
Casper the long black kitty is a
snuggler, no two ways about it. He
will lie up against a kind human indefinitely, and now
and then list to port (or starboard) to welcome a belly
rub... and look up at you with adoring green eyes.
Calling him “hard to resist” is an
understatement. Casper would make a great pal and reward you richly with
his affections. Can you include him in your happy home?
