The 1 out of 20
jagaag
that didn’t get smoked
r I ''here’s a lot of satisfaction in pointing out something good to a friend. That’s why
JL it often happens that one cigarette out of a pack of Dual Filter Tareytons never does
get smoked.
People break it open to demonstrate its unique Dual Filter containing Activated
Charcoal. They may not know why it works so well, but they do know this: It delivers
far more than high filtration ... it brings o.ut the best taste of the best tobaccos—as
no single filter can!
Try a pack of Tareytons. We believe the extra pleasure they bring will soon have
you passing the good word to your friends.
HERE’S HOW THE DUAL FILTER DOES IT:
1. It combines a unique inner filter of ACTIVATED CHARCOAL
... definitely proved to make the smoke of a cigarette mild
and smooth ...
2. with an efficient pure white outer filter. Together they bring
you the real thine in mildness and fine tobacco taste!

Stevens
On
Fashions
By Carol Stevens
Spring is a many colored
season—soft pastels, vi-
vrant warmyellows and icy
blues. These hues are
pop ular every spring, but
those you’ll be seeing
much of this year are
blended lilacs, mauves and
an array of neutral greens
that were so popular this
fall.
DANCE ENDS . . .
zations covered the faculty
parking lot Saturday after-
noon. Donald Nugent, APO
candidate, was named Mr.
Scrounge during the event.
Gordon Baxter, KTRM
announcer; was emcee for
the dr awing which ended
the 'Carnival. First prize
was won by He ster Briscoe.
Theorize, donated by Hof-
f e r ’ s Clothing Store was
supper and dancing at the
Business and Professional
Men’s Club or at the
Petroleum Club for the
winner and her date.
Sharon Trask won a $5
gift ce rtifLcate from Du
Cotes C1 o thing store, a
gift certificate from Gor-
don’s Jewelers, supper at
Jim's Steak House and
Putt-Putt passes.

Bow ling Alley and supper
at Vic and Al* s Pizza House
was won by Bill Reynolds.
Dave Beck won supper for
two at Little Mexico and
Putt-Putt passes.
Other prizes awarded in-
clude a meal for two at the
Golden Arrow and a gift
certificate from Zale’s.
Fabrics this spring carry
out the sugar and spice look
with synthetics and blends
prevailing. Cool dacron is
especially nice for this
area, and may be worn on
into the hotsummer months.
If you will be traveling
over the Easter holidays re-
in e m be r how easy these
new fabrics pack and how
crease resistant they tend
to be.
Arnel sharkshin is as
popular as ever in sports
wear as are denim, sail-
cloth and cotton knits.
Seersucker is one of
sparing s bri ghtest sur-
p r i ses and will be seen in
bermuda sets and casual
seperates.
For casual wear the big-
gerfhe prints the better—-
scarfprints,polka dots and
gingham. For afternoon
billowy, crisp cottons with
slim s traps or with bare
backs are the perfect com-
pliment for smooth
shoulders. After sundown
don frothy organza to set
off a nothing waist.
Keep these notes in mind
a s you choose your ward-
robe for the south's most
delightful season.
