Chi Alpha gives spiritual support
Chi Alpha is a group of Christian
college students banded together on the
college campus to form a church. The
purpose of the group is to meet the
spiritual needs of the college student.
The meetings consist of singing,
praying, worship, and encounter group
sessions.
Chi Alpha met last Thursday, divided
into three groups and asked each group
to come up with the definition of
“Trust.” The first group came up with
the simple definition of “Faith.”
The second group defined that God
has everything under control. The third
group used each letter of the work in its
definition. They said that “T” is taking
God at His word, R is for resting on His
promises, U is for understanding that
He loves you, S is for submitting to
God’s perfect will, and T is for thanking
Him ahead of time for things He does.
The definitions were shared; then a
time of prayer ended the meeting.
The group meets in Room 125 of the
Setzer Center at 7 p.m. on Thursdays.
“Courageous Christians” and “nervous
nons” are all invited to attend the
meetings.
