Engaged in a bight.
Prof. J. P. Glasgow and Wil-
iam Biggerstaff had a difficulty
yesterday evening in which Glas-
gow was slightly bruised on the
cheek by a rock thrown by Big-
jerstaff.
School trouble is at the bottom
of the affair. It seems that Big-
gerstaff, who is 20 years old, was
suspended from the High school
about ten days ago by Prof. Glas-
gow for a violation of some of the
rules. Yesterday the boy sent
word to the professor asking for a
meeting. When called upon by
the professor Biggerstaff told him
he "was no gentleman," where-
upon the teacher slapped him
The boy ran a short distance,
picked up some rocks and threw
them at the professor, one strik-
ing him on the cheek making a
bad bruise. Mr. Glasgow pur-
sued and caught Biggerstaff,
threw him to the ground and was
about to administer a sound
threshing when he was pulled off
by some one.
Biggerstaff is from Thackerville
nnd lives at the home of Dr. Bell.
He was arrested last night. The
fighters will be tried Monday
evening before Justice Rogers.
