Held at Denton August 5 and
6, 1897.
The UOlli annual reunion of the
11th Texas Cavalry association
met at the court house 'n Denton
August 5 at 9 a. m., President
Robert Bean in the chair, S. It.
Utter, secretary. Prayer by Capt.
C. T. Oowning, acting chaplain.

the death of four of our comrades
who have passed away since our
last meeting in reunion at the
town of Bells
1st, Dick Hill, the date of
whose death we have not been
able to learn, died in the city of
Gainesville. He was a true man
and a good and respected citizen
of Cooke county. He lived an
exemplary life and died a peace-
ful death.
Also, C. B. Sutton, who died at
Denton
County Fair.

postponed until the afternoon and
music rendered by quartette, con-
sisting of Misses Mattie and Jen-
nie Pittman and Messrs. Byas and
Shepard.
Adjourned to meet at the fair
grounds at 2 p. m. and to reas-
semble at the court house at 5
p. 111.
AFTERNOON AUGUST 5.
The following officers were
elected by a unanimous vote:

Minutes of the previous meet-
ing read and approved.

mittee and said committee re-
quested to confer with Dr. J. O.
Scott and secure liis assistance in
obtaining data.
Comrade J M Blain was retain-
ed as a committee of enquiry and
requested to write to the county
clerk and others at Lexington, Ivy.,
to ascertain the postoffice address i

awaits our coming one by one.
Also, W. S. Proctor, the notice
of whose death, given by his
brother, is hereunto attached.
Also, William Hodges, who
passed from earth to his final
home on March 1st, 1897. Great-
ly do we regret the death of these
noble comrades, and cheerfully
would we extend our condolence
to their bereaved families and
look with hope to the final reunion
on the other shore.
Resolved, that in the death of
our beloved comrades we have
lost our truest and best men; the j
state true, tried and noble citi-
zens, and their families useful,
loving and devoted fathers and
husbands.
Resolved further, that we ten-
der their widows and families our
sincere sympathy in this their
sore trial and affliction.

The morning hours will he devoted to the exhibition of Live Stock,
Farm, Dairy and Botanical Products, the Kitchen, Crochet Work, etc.
In fact it will be a Fair in its strictest sense with valuable premiums for
all exhibits. Racing and speeding of horses during the morning will
positively be prohibited, all of which being reserved for 2 o'clock p. m.
