Gainesville Monday from Wash-

At the close of the recitation

Whereas; we, as pupils from

Summer Normal Institute con-
ducted in Denton, Denton county
Texas, and
Whereas; the citizens of Den-
ton and the public school teach-
ers have done everything in their
power to advance our interests
and facilitate the work of the
normal, and
Whereas; the hospitality of the
homes in Denton has been shared
with us, and all the courtesies of
social contact have been offered
us, therefore be it
Resolved; that we. the attend-
ants of the Denton Summer Nor-
mal Institute extend our most
grateful thanks for (lie kindness
shown us aud the assistance ren-
dered us by the people of Denton,
and especially do we desire to
express our appreciation of the
untiring energy and attention of
our conductor Prof. E. C. Snow
and his co-laborers, Profs. Sisk,
Warren aud Misses Dickerson and
Buck, and again
Resolved; that we shall leave
the normal with keener concep-
tions of our duty and a deeper
feeling of the responsibility rest-

terday to Austin Grove, just
south of town, showed that every-
thing was in good order for the
holiness camp meeting which will
commence to-day. A large arbor
has been erected and comfortably
seated. Several camp houses
have already been erected by
Denton people and others will be
put up by campers from a dis-
tance. Everything has been ar |

While the family was away
from home Monday afternoon the
house of Mr. Hilger in the
northern part of town caught fire.
Mr. IIilger's boys returned home
and gave the alarm before the
flames had gained a too
strong headway and by the work
of neighbors the lire was extin-
