DENTON, Texas, Oct. 10 — Mak-
ing freshman girlB feel at home *s
a 30-year trudition at North State
College. In a dramatic ceremony
last week, hundreds of new and
old women students walked down
an aisle lighted only by the candles
they carried. "Big Sister” and "Lit-
tle Sister” adopted a new girl for
the year.
For many girls, college is a long
way from home and new friends
are hard to find. But at NTSC the
"Big Sisters" show the "Little
Sisters” the way.

The STETSON Texan
Strike out with a Texan, when you turn your back
on the city. It’s a real Stetson Western with the style
and feeling of the big open spaces. Takes you any-
where and brings you back looking like a man who
can handle his own business. You’ll have to travel
far to find a smarter hat. Come in and try it on.

The Times each Sunday gives
the daily average of oil runs in
fifteen nearby counties. The totals
for last week were 156,980, which
was a loss of 27 barrels from the
previous week. The difference in
Baylor production is very smail
from week to week. On the above
report Baylor had a loss of five
barrels, from 1,362 to 1,357. But
the report recently on two suc-
cessive weeks showed a difference
of only one barrel.
