PACT
Results announced
A new 10.5-foot by 14-foot
movie screen and high defini-
tion projector will be unveiled
at the annual meeting for the
Port Aransas Community
Theatre.
Anyone interested in com-
munity theater is invited
to the meeting at 7 p.m. on
Friday, May 31, at the theater,
2327 State Hwy. 361 at the
corner of Sea Isle Drive.
Results of the board of
directors election will be an-
nounced at the meeting.
Ballots were mailed to
PACT members asking them
to review the biographies of
the slate of candidates for
the board and vote for three.
Results of that balloting will
be announced at the annual
meeting.
At PACTs regular meeting
earlier this month, Elliott
Morris was appointed to a
one-year term as a youth asso-
ciation member of the board
of directors.
“So many young people
are now involved with PACT
activities, it is important to
stay in touch with all age
perspectives with our business
decisions,” said PACT board
chairman Betty Crawford.
PACT “is blessed to have
members who not only main-
tain their membership, but
who show up to build sets,
sell tickets, work the conces-
sion stand and generally do
anything needed,” Crawford
added.
Refreshments will be served
at the meeting.
Rotary club
Site change
The Port Aransas Rota-
ry Club is in the process of
changing its regular meeting
location.
This week, club members
will meet at Plantation Suites,
1909 State Hwy. 361, at noon
on Thursday, May 30.
The club has been meeting
at Pelicans Landing, which has
recently changed its format.
The board of directors will
determine a permanent lo-
cation for the club’s weekly
meetings.
