The couple later moved to
the Panama Canal Zone,
where Zeeck was an electri
ctan on the canal from 1932
to 1949 when they returned
to Lamesa to farm He re-
tired in 1971 and the couple
moved to Tulia

Swimming
Lessons
To Begin
Second session of swim-
ming lessons will begin Mon-
day. June 2b. continuing
through July 8. The session
consists of ten one-hour les-
sons Tuition of $20 is pay-
able at the first lesson.
Intermediate class, to fur-
ther develop the two basic
strokes and teach five addi-
tional strokes, develope en-
durance in swimming, and
basic diving, will be held
from 9:30 a.m to 10:30 a m.
Advanced beginner class,
strengthening basic swim-
ming skills, will be from
10:30 a m. to ll:30a.m.
Beginner class, learning to
swim, is from 11:30 a.m. to
12:30 p.m.
Instructor is Bob Painter,
telephone 995-4380 and tea-
ching assistants are his

Debra is a 1978 graduate
of Tulia High School. Mikeal
graduated in 1977.
An August 5 wedding is
being planned. The couple
will reside in Tulia where the
future groom is employed
with his father.

Remain Critical After
Accident In Amarillo
Steve Rawson. 18. and his
wife. Sherry. 20. remain in
intensive care at Northwest
Texas Hospital in Amarillo,
receiving treatment for in-
juries sustained in an acci-
dent in Amarillo shortly be-
fore b p.m. Wednesday,
June 14
The couple suffered bro-
ken legs, head and internal
injuries when their pickup
truck slammed into the rear
of a longbed gravel rig that
was stopped in the center
westbound lane of 1-40 at
Robert St., near the Ross
Street overpass.
Mrs. Rawson. the daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Tom
Henry of Happy, remains
unconscious with broken
spine and pelvis as well as
fractured legs and arm. also
facial injuries.
Steve suffered broken
bones and punctured lung.
Mrs. Rawson was removed
from the wreckage by motor-
ists who stopped to render
aid. She was carried to a
grass median and given
assistance until Metropolitan
Ambulance attendents of
Amarillo arrived and began
emergency treatment at the
scene.
Firemen and several by-
standers worked about five
minutes to free her uncon-
scious husband from the
vehicle.
Driver of the semi-rig,
Dalton Adams of Amarillo
was not injured in the colli-
sion. Adams said he stopped
to give aid to a woman whose
car had stalled in the center
lane and was out of his truck
working on the engine of the
car of Mavis Morris White,
7b. of Amarillo when the
pickup crashed into his trai-
ler. Adams said his truck,
belonging to Panhandle Gra-
vel Co., was loaded with
90.000 pounds of gravel.
Rawson was driving a pick-
up truck marked R&R Ferti-
lizer & Spraying of Tulia
where he worked.
Zeeck Rites Held Friday
Harry Lee Zeeck. 5b. an
employee of Swisher Cattle
Co., was dead on arrival at a
Canyon hospital Wednesday
evening. Funeral services
were held Friday at the First
United Methodist Church of
Canyon with the Rev. Bobby
McMillan, pastor, offici-
ating. Burial was in Dream-
land Cemetery.
The World War II veteran
was born March 15. 1922. at
Lipgleville and l\ad lived in
Canyon two years after living
eight years at Tulia.
Survivors include his wife,
Carol, of Canyon; two sons,
Bill Zeeck of Plainview and
Glen Zeeck of Tulia; a step-
son. Gary Schrib, Lubbock;
step daughters. Mrs. Cindy
Carlile of Amarillo and Mrs.
Debra Wiley of Fowler.
Colo.; two brothers, Jarvis
Zeeck of Plainview and Carl
Zeeck of Tulia: and three
sisters. Mrs. Irene McCas-
land of Tulia. Lunelle Zeeck
of Midland, and Dr. Ulane
Bonnel of Paris, France; and
six grandchildren.
Boling-Minyard Vows Are
Exchanged At Silverton

daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Bill J. Boling of Silverton.
and Rickey Lane Minyard of
Silverton, son of the late Mr.
and Mrs. Earl Minyard, ex-
changed nuptial vows June
16 at 7 p.m. in the Church of
Christ at Silverton. Ted Kin-
gery was the officiating min-
ister.
Brenda Cantwell of Silver-
ton was soloist.
The vows were exchanged
in a setting of two gold
candelabras with light blue
vo'ive cups and arched can-
dclabras with white candles
decorated with imported
palms. The memory candle
was lit during the ceremony
as it rested on a white
wrought iron stand.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a
formal length gown of all-
over white floral patterned
chantilly lace. The bouffant
skirt, five tiers of scalloped
chantilly lace, swept to the
back forming a chapel length
train.
The gown featured a sa-
brina neckline with long fit-
ted sleeves and a natural
waist line. The Terea veil,
trimmed in chantilly lace,
was held in place by a pearl
and lace capulet. The bride
carried a cascade bouquet of
spring flowers attached to
the top of her Bible, a gift of
her parents.
For something old, she
wore her great grandmother
Gregg's gold wedding band;
something new. her wedding
dress and a diamond chip
necklace given her by the
groom; borrowed, her grand-
mother Boling's gold locket;
blue, a garter with two
pennies for her shoe from her
father. The coins bore the
year of birth of the bride and
groom.
Matron of honor was Mrs.
Debbie Weaks. Silverton.
sister of the bride. Brides-
maid was Marsha Yancey of
Silverton. Junior bridesmaid
and candle lighters were
Brenda and Donnal Boling,
sisters of the bride. Sil-
verton.
Katrice Minyard. niece of
the groom, was flower girl.
Anthony Minyard. nephew of
the groom, was ring bearer.
Victor Weaks, brother-in-law
of the bride, was best man
and Tommy Bullock was
groomsman.
The matron of honor wore
an orchid dress of floral
dotted swisi. gored skirt
stitched to bodict above nor-
mal waistline, round neck-
line. cape collar and short
flared sleeves trimmed with
picot edging. She carried a
nosegay of spring flowers.
The bridesmaids wore pink
dresses of floral dotted swiss
made identical to that of the
matron of honor. Spring
flowers were carried.
The junior bridesmaids
wore dresses identical to that
of the maid of honor in green
and yellow dotted swiss.
Both wore wristlets of spring
flowers.
The mother of the bride
wore a long blue knit dress
with sheer sleeves and lace
overlay. Grandmother of the

Are Exchanged Saturday
In an impressive double
ring ceremony performed
Saturday at 2 p.m. in Jackson
Chapel Church of God in
Christ. Pamela Benard.
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.
B. Benard of 407 South
Gaines, became the bride of
Jimmy W. Harvey of Hous-
ton. son of Calvin Harvey of
Morton and Mrs. Lessie Har-
vey of Denver City.
The church was decorated
with palms and an attractive
archway with white candles
and blue satin bows. White
daisies were strewn by the
flower girl, Twilla Ervin,
followed by the ring bearer.
Shawn Paul Harvey. The
bride presented her mother
and the groom’s mother with
a single :ed rose.
Mrs. D. H. Shurbet played
the processional and reces-
sional and accompanied Mrs.
Dan Gamble who sang
"Till."
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore an
empire gown of white French
satin and Irish lace. Her
dress was fashioned by Dai-
sy's of Amarillo. She wore a
crown dome veil of Swedish
net.
Maid of honor and best
friend of the bride was
Patricia Jackson of Plain-
view. Bridesmaid was Tam-
mic Benard, sister of the
bride Both wore dresses of
sheer white organza with tiny
blue roses and wide brimmed
hats with blue flowers.
Best man was Willie Mc-
Gee. Jr., of Plainview.
Groomsman was Kenneth
Harvey, brother of the
groom. Ushers were Henry
Jackson. Jr., and E. C.
Dixon.
Mrs. Dora Benard. mother
of the bride, wore a charming
dress of peach crepe knit
with permanent pleats, ac-
cented with ruffles around
the circular neck. Her acces-
sories were white.
The mother of the bride-
groom wore a white crepe
dress with circular collar and
white accessories. She wore
a wide white hat.
A reception followed the
ceremony in the Chandelier
Room of the First National
Bank. The bride's table was
beautifully decorated with an
Irish linen table cover using
as a centerpiece the open
Bible. Her cake was white
and blue graced with four
tiers and made by Mrs. L.
Powell of Tulia. The groom's
table was laid with beige
linen and displayed a choco-
late cake made also by Mrs.
Powell.
For the wedding trip to
Dallas, the bride travelled in
blue Irish denim pants and a
shirt of lovely eggshell
ruffled french organza, and
white sandals. Her corsage
was lifted from the bridal
bouquet of white and blue
African daisies.
After the honeymoon the
couple will be at home in
Houston.
The bride is a 1978 gradu-
ate of Tulia High School. She
was a member of Distributive
Education Clubs of America
and was elected "D. E.
Student of the Year 1978.”
She was also a member of
Keywanettes. pep squad and
FHA. She was employed by
K-Bob's Steak House this
past year. She plans to
attend the University of
Houston in the fall.
The groom is a 1973 gradu-
ate of Morton High School.
He attended Wavland Bap-
tist College on a basketball
scholarship. In college he
was a member of Alpha Phi
Omega, national service fra-
ternity. the Spanish Club,
and Sociology Club. He re-
ceived his B. S. degree from
Wayland in 1978. He is
employed by Fairmont Com-
pany of Houston.
The aunt and uncle of the
bride entertained the
wedding party by hosting the
rehearsal dinner in the Willie
Room in Tulia. They live in
Tucson. Ariz.
Out-of-town wedding
guests included Mr. and
Mrs. E. C. Dixon of Tucson.
