Freshman Class Filled
With School Leaders
They were leaders yesterday.
What will they be today? PJC has
quite an assortment of freshmen
who were outstanding in their sen-
ior year.
Carthage High is represented
by David Copeland who was class
president and Nancy Heaton who
held the honor of salutatorian.
Turner High is represented by
Pherdelma Graves as valedictor-
ian.
Both the salutatorian and val-
edictorian from Waskom are at-
tending Panola. These students
are Hershal Waller who was val-
edictorian and Mrs. Jo Mize who
was salutatorian.
Beckville shows its colors with
Kathy Majors who ranked as
salutatorian. Douglas Waldrop,
who held the honor of being vice-
president of the Beckville student
body is also attending PJC.
Freshman class president, Joe
Watson, was salutatorian of the
1964 senior class of Mt. Enter-
prise.
Another honor graduate who is
attending PJC is Pat Bussey who
(think!) 508 Stadium, City Mor-
gue. Thank you.
Well, the little old hag by the
cauldron tells me that the sum
will be rising soon. I must leap
back into my cozy sepulcher before
those bigots with the stakes dis-
cover I’ve been at it again,
patience and will be honored to
be the instrument of redemption
and salvation to my lost brethern.
(Shudder.) I will appreciate and
accept praise, too, but please
keep the deifications down to at
least 10,000 words or so. You’ll
spoil me. Please address all pos-
“beefs” to (to use the vernacular)
in letter form. I possess infinite
was the second-ranking senior
from Center High School.
These are a few of our yester-
day’s leaders; we applaude them
for their good work. Yesterday is
past and now they must start ov.
er. Today they must face new and
more difficult challenges.
Who will stand out this year?
You? The old leader? Of course,
we cannot all be leaders, but each
can have the satisfaction of know-
ing that they put forth their best.
