PTK plans
annual trip
Phi Theta Kappa has plan-
ned their annual trip to Big
Bend National Park this
semester. Plans were be-
gun at a meeting of the or-
ganization two weeks ago.
The group is hoping to
leave Wednesday, Novem-
ber 20, and return Sunday,
November 24.
Two nights will be spent
in motels and the other two
nights will be spent camp-
ing out. The group is
planning to tour various
museums and forts along
the way.
The Student Senate Ex-
ecutive Council, who is
in charge of dispersing
club funding moneys, vo-
ted four to one to give
PTK $150 for their trip.
The four members vot-
ing yes were David Holi-
day, Debra Crawford,
Carla Christian and Ken-
neth Jones. Jim Fleming
voted no.
Three clubs will
meet Tuesday.

On Wednesday, November
27, Merle Glass Residence
Hall will close for the Than-
ksgiP^g holiday0
Chime donated
The new chimes at PJC-
which had been installed on
a trial basis, have been gi-
ven to the college and are
being realigned and adjus-
ted for permanence.
Though the donor wishes
to remain anonymous, a
bronze plaque will be pla-
ced on the cabinet of the
system. On the plaque
will be engraved these
words: "In loving memory
of John C. and Brownie
Brown, 1974."
All students, with the ex-
ception of the foreign stu-
dents, must beout of the
dorms by 4 p. m. Wednes-
day afternoon.
The foreign students will
be allowed to remain in the
dormitory during the three
days that it is closed to oth-
er students.
The dorm will reopen at
approximately 2 p. m. on
Sunday, December 1.
The athletic dorm, which
houses the majority of
baseball and basketball pla-
yers, will remain open du-
ring the holidays.
This is due to the bas-
ketball tournament at Kil-
gore in which the Ponies
will be competing.
