DESIGN FOR AN INSECT-EXTERMINATOR.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 30,528, dated April11, 1899.
Application filed March 13, 1899. Serial No, 708,967. Term of patent 14 years,To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ELIJAH H. IIGHTOWER,
a citizen of the United States, residing at Co-
lumbus, in the county of Colorado and State
5 of Texas, have invented and produced a new
* and original Design for an Insect-Extermina-
tor, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to a new and original
design for an insect-exterminator, and it has
so for its object to provide a design of this char-
acter that shall be both useful and orna-
mental.
The leading feature of the design resides in
an insect-exterminator having a circular pan
15 and a conical lamp-body arranged centrally
within the pan and projecting above the plane
thereof.
The minor features of the design are the
circular pan having a peripheral upstanding
20 vertical flange, the conical lamp - body pro-
vided at its apex with a circular opening, and
a conical stem connection between the lower
side of the lamp-body and the upper side of
the pan at the center of the latter.
25 In the drawings, Figure 1 is a perspective
view of an insect-exterminator embodying
the design contemplated by the present in-vention. Fig. 2 is a top plan view thereof.

Referring to the drawings, the numeral 1
designates a circular pan having a flat bottom
and a peripheral upstanding vertical flange
2. Arranged centrally within the circular
pan 1 is a conical lamp-body 3, the wide base 35
portion of which body is disposed within the
plane of the pan, while the apex of the body
projects above the plane of the flange of the
pan. At its apex the said conical lamp-body
3 is provided with a circular opening 4, and a 40
conical stem connection 5 is located between
the lower side of the lamp-body and the up-
per side of the pan at the center of the latter.
What is claimed is-
The design for an insect-exterminator, here- 45
in shown and described.
In testimony that I claim the foregoing as
my own I have hereto affixed my signature in
the presence of two witnesses.
