From the foregoing description of my
present invention it will be clearly evident
5 that I have produced a pyrotechnic device
which is perfectly safe from premature or
accidental ignition.
The composition usually consists of the
above-mentioned -ingredients, preferably by
10 the weights stated, but it will be understood,
and I am fully aware of the fact that the pro-
portions of the ingredients by weight may be
changed without departing from the spirit
and scope of the present invention, as set
15 forth in the appended claims. Hence I do
not limit my invention to the exact propor-
tions of the various ingredients named in the
foregoing specification.
I 'claim:-
20 1. The herein described pyrotechnic de-
vice comprising a suitable pyrotechnic com--
.position capable of being exploded by per-cussion and inclosed within a safety-coating
comprising a wrapper of tissue paper having
its outer surface gummed, and a-protecting 25
coating adhering to said gummed surface,
substantially as described.
2. The herein described pyrotechnic de-
vice comprising. a suitable pyrotechnic com-
position capable of being exploded by per- 30
cussion an enclosed within a safety-coating
comprising a wrapper of tissue paper having
its outer surface gummed, and a layer of
wood-pulp adhering to said gummed surface,
substantially as and for the purposes set 35
forth.
In testimony, that I claim the invention
set forth above I have hereunto set my hand
this thirtieth day of September, 1907.
